Clubs and Extra-Curricular Activites

Clubs for 2024-2025 School Year

Club Meeting Dates will also posted on the school calendar as they become available.
 

SHINE Club - What is the SHINE Club? It is a club for 4th-6th Graders with the purpose of Serving, Honoring, Inspiring, Nurturing, and Encouraging others. What will we do? We will be finding ways to serve others at the school and in the community. We will learn how to honor others with our words and actions. We will be finding ways to inspire & nurture younger students. We will also be seeking ways to encourage classmates, faculty and staff at BEE, our families, and community members. 

SHINE Club Meeting Dates: will meet once a month from 3:25-4:25 after school
Meetings end at 4:25 and pick up is in the car loop.

Art Club - The art club will meet to create a variety of projects, including the Parish Fair Booth. 

Student Government Association - A student-based civic organization for 5th and 6th graders designed to help promote school spirit and leadership among students. 
Student Council is an organization made up of elected students whose purpose is
1.      To promote and encourage activities for the best interest of the school. 
2.      To develop good citizens and leaders through experience in government. 
3.      To provide a means for students to have a voice in their school.
4.      To encourage student involvement in school wide activities. 

Meetings end at 4:15 and pick up is in the car loop.

Library Club - A monthly afterschool club for 1st and 2nd graders.  The club meets monthly (Oct - Mar) on the 2nd Thursday of the month (Oct - Mar) until 4:30pm.  The club explores books and promotes a love of reading through activities and art.  Application deadline is Sept. 15th.  $5 yearly dues paid through My Payments Plus.  Optional library club Tshirt is $10.

Starlettes - The Bonne Ecole Starlettes Pom Squad is made up of 4th, 5th, and 6th grade girls. The goal of this dance team is to provide entertainment for school and community events, such as Veteran’s Day, Mardi Gras Parades, BEE Showcase, and more. Many different skills are practiced and taught during weekly practices. To dance it takes strength, coordination, balance and flexibility. 

Starlettes practice every Wednesday from 3:30-4:30.

Yearbook - The yearbook club will work to gather pictures and information throughout the school year for the yearbook, design the yearbook, coordinate ordering and distribution. 

Energizers Jump Rope Team - Students on the jump rope team will learn endurance, skills, and routines to perform at various school and community events such as Veteran’s Day, Mardi Gras Parades, PTA meetings, and more.

Twinkle Toes Jr. Spirit Squad - The Twinkle Toes is a group of K-3rd graders who want to show their school spirit in a positive, non-competitive, and social environment! The members will learn the basics of dance and cheer, but our main goal is to promote team-building skills, confidence, and healthy self-esteem to the young girls at BEE!

Twinkle Toes practice every Wednesday from 3:30-4:30. 
 

Superstar Sports -

The Superstar Sports club is a club for 4th through 6th graders that focuses on the rules and sportsmanship of Soccer, Volleyball, and Flag Football. We will only focus on one sport at a time. As we are learning more about the sport, we will have scrimmages against each other. Finally, we will have some games where families are encouraged to watch.

There are 2 teams the Red Team and the Blue Team. We will also have a World Cup (to showcase the soccer), the Olympics (to showcase volleyball), and the Super Bowl (to showcase flag football). 

Good News Club - Meets every Wednesday from 3:30-5:00
